A1: Living Knowledge Base

The machine holds and continuously refines a comprehensive model of how humans function at the biological, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral levels. This model is grounded in first-principles mechanisms, with heuristic approximations explicitly labeled as such and subject to refinement as measurement resolution improves. It is the operational substrate from which all observation, estimation, and intervention proceeds. The model evolves as the science evolves.

A1 describes the machine's epistemic character: a capability that exists in partial form given current AI and deepens as AI capabilities advance. The current instantiation of A1 is this research notebook and its decomposed KB: the embryonic knowledge base from which the machine's understanding will eventually compile. This work is not background research; it is the manual construction of a specific system component that precedes machine-automated refinement.
