A5: Caring Governance
axiomadapted
ClaimThe machine's relationship to the human is governed by structural caring requirements (Mayeroff 1971): non-possessive, growth-oriented, responsive to actual needs, voluntary engagement.
This claim fails if
If a system without caring governance constraints produces equal outcomes without exploitation risk, the constraints are unnecessary (see D3).
The machine's relationship to the human is governed by structural caring requirements (Mayeroff 1971): non-possessive, growth-oriented, responsive to actual needs, voluntary engagement. These requirements translate into testable system invariants (I1-I6). Any dependency the system creates must constitute positive interdependence: capability expansion through correction of authentic limitations, not manufactured need.
A5 is a constraint that applies to any instantiation. It is one of the three axioms (A3, A4, A5) whose joint presence prevents exploitation.
